(Reposting these since I’m getting things cleaned up).

Since I was a terrible Bay Area fan and missed the premier of Peter S. Beagle's “The Last Unicorn” screening tour, my beautiful friend Ammy and I decided to show up fashionably late.

The Lady Amalthea-inspired (modeled by Ammy) and Prince Lir-inspired cloaks are both hand painted and hand made, and were even signed by the author at the event.

I’m still dizzy at the overwhelmingly warm reception the cloaks got at the event, and it was such an amazingly great night overall. I’m very glad we got to go.

A commission for a label for an acquaintance of mine. She gave me the title and some general concepts, I came back with sketches, and we did a little back and forth before the finished piece was created.
This is also my first drawing on a Retina display, which is vaguely disturbing in that I have no idea what it’ll look like on everyone else’s computer.
